Safe Recruitment Coordinator
We are seeking a talented Safe Recruitment Coordinator to join our dynamic Policy and Integrity Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for safeguarding and integrity in sport, and for collaborative working in both the community and professional game in Wales.
The key responsibilities involve co-ordinating and supporting safe recruitment, club support and quality assurance.
The role is focussed upon supporting and working with clubs and regions to develop safeguarding best practice and build safe and inclusive environments.

The Person
Qualifications:
- Preferably experienced in safeguarding and regulatory matters.
- Experience of working within a sport governing body or organisation, ideally within safeguarding or regulatory position
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Experience of database management
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent Teamworking skills
The Role
- Co-ordination of the Safe Recruitment process – Application to Appointment
- Supporting Club Safeguarding Officers to effectively manage Safe Recruitment at club level
- Quality Assurance responsibilities to establish compliance in line with the WRU Safeguarding Policy and Procedures
- Data driven to develop evidence-based plans and actions to build Safe and Inclusive Environments
- Stakeholder engagement and key focus through consultation groups, to develop and share best practice.
- Development of Safeguarding Resources and Tools to support Clubs and Regions
- Case Management Support
- Safeguarding Governance Support – to develop Club Safeguarding Plans
- Supporting other functions in the Policy and Integrity Team (Discipline; Player Welfare; Anti-Doping) when required
- Working with key partners to deliver Safe and Inclusive Environments in line with the WRU Strategy
Carry out duties to help support the WRU/PS mission statement in line with the WRU Group values.
WRU Requirements
The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and a Valid UK Driver's License is desirable. This role is subject to a basic/enhanced DBS check.
