Head of Partnerships
This role encompasses the full spectrum of commercial related activity within the WRU. You will partner with commercial partners leading a team who are here to bring to life the commercial partnerships of the WRU.

The Person
This role would suit someone who
- Possess at least 5 years’ experience in a strategic partnership role, ideally in sport.
- Demonstrable experience of setting and delivering strategy for commercial opportunities, ideally in sport.
- Demonstrable experience of developing relationships with key decision makers at multinational brands.
- Ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
- Experience of presenting at introductory and other meetings to a variety of stakeholders.
The Role
- Strategic Management, direction and delivery of all commercial partners’ contractual rights
- Ensuring all commercial partners are integrated into the WRU commercial programme to achieve their business objectives
- Driving the strategy for the development and delivery of creative and bespoke partnership proposals
- Identifying opportunities for new commercial partnerships and up-sells
- Involvement in structuring potential commercial partner rights proposals
- Inputting into and delivering on the Group’s commercial strategy
- Oversee the Partnerships Team to ensure excellent relationship management of new and existing commercial partners
- Lead on relevant internal relationships to ensure collaboration for the benefit of the Group and delivery on commercial partners’ expectations
- Manage the Rugby Resources Manager
WRU Requirements
The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and a Valid UK Driver's License is desirable. This role is subject to a basic/enhanced DBS check.
